"Crows in Moonlight" by Ohara Koson (1927) |
I'm ready for winter to be done, myself. This year the persons who decide to do such things decided to name all winter storms the way they name hurricanes, and since this week we are being ravaged by Wiley - or Waldo, depending on your weather source, the end of the alphabet must surely mean the end of winter.
It remains to be seen whether or not my muse comes out of hibernation any time soon, however.

Maybe your muse is the crow moon? It certainly is beautiful,if you can see it.
ReplyDeleteI caught a peek of the almost-crow moon Saturday before the clouds came in, Mr. C. I may have even howled at it a little...
DeleteI mehed it over here yesterday, but did not comment. Let me mehk up for that: When we run out of alphabet thingies, we start over...just like the Mayans. I am sure you don't find that aMUSEing.
ReplyDeleteSigh...I do try, you know.
Yes, JJ, I know you are trying . . . .
DeleteInteresting theory you have there. At least it sounds better than just saying I'm lazy and uninspired.
Crow Moon huh? Cool Denise even though it's freezing ass cold here still Monday i heard my crow calling from a roof peak.
ReplyDeleteMark, we've averaged one ice and/or snow storm a week up until now, too -- but the robins have arrived. They looked really pissed off the other day out in the sleet . . . .
DeleteI love winter - usually - but I am ready for this one to go. We have three feet of standing snow and another storm forecast for tonight.
ReplyDeletelooks like I won't be dancing necked around a bonfire to welcome in spring.
