Bravo to the US Supreme Court for yesterday's decision making marriage equality the law of the land. I won't even let the fact that it was a narrow victory temper my happiness. For those gnashers and wailers who believe that the end times are upon us, I would say, I hope so. I hope the end of hate and bigotry and injustice is near.
Now, on to the next battle. Battles.
Lots of exploding heads on the right yesterday. I'm still waiting for Buchan'tnan, Satorump and that unknown preacher dude to light up. Am I gloating...oh yeah!
ReplyDeleteI'm still shaking my heads at the folks who support corporate personhood but not legislative humanity . . . But they are a noisy, discontent minority.
DeleteSurprise, surprise...the preacher man back tracked. Maybe next time.
ReplyDeleteYeah, so much for standing up for what you believe in.
DeleteLots of good news as of late. Right on!
ReplyDeleteI almost don't have reason to be my usual cynical self!
DeleteGreat cake!! you are obviously a woman of many talents. I am soo delighted as well. How nice is that when a group of humans decide to treat other people like ....humans. Hurrah!
ReplyDeleteMy darling daughter made the cake, actually. I helped eat it, though!
DeleteWe'll see what other business the court gets up to . . . There are still too many troglodytes on the bench to suit me.
