Tuesday Takeout

Aha! Finally there seems to be some hope on the career front, at least if my dessert has anything to say about it.

  1. Curious Denise, what field do you work in? And may the words of a a fortune cookie writer prove to be benign providence.

    1. For the past 10 years I've worked at a university, directing a summer professional development program for college educators. So, program and project management within academe is my field. Funding for the folks who typically attend my program has been drying up for the last several years, and so, consequently, has my bank account :-( I've got one application in the hopper w/a summer music camp here at the University that will hopefully yield aforementioned interview!

  2. This is true: I had a fortune cookie at The Great Wall in Augusta, Maine that said: You have no fortune. Wow!
Someone had a sense of humor.
    the Ol'Buzzard

  3. Ah yes, the fortune cookie, Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. Paid off for them, maybe it will for you as well.

  4. Well, that's encouraging news!
Hey, Wench! I hope things are going okay. I was strolling down blog memory lane and stumbled upon some old comments you made in December of 2008. Things have changed here of late. I moved to the North East corner of the state where I am now running a little branch library, and a little bitty lit magazine. We're not rolling in dough, but we're better off and improving. Miss you!

And you thought...
