Monday Meh, Less Bullets More Love edition

Wakagi-Chan, "Rainbow Tears"
I don't have sufficient words for the despair and anger and sadness I feel after this weekend's massacre in Orlando. But I am working to find the words to tell public officeholders how their failure to act on reigning in our country's ridiculous gun laws holds them complicit in the deaths of these latest victims, and others.

Enough. Enough is already too much.

    1. Not always...sometimes more isn't enough, either.

  3. The problems in our nation, Denise, run much deeper than gun laws and gun availability. Our entire culture has been ordered on the premise bound to fear which leads to division and hatred.

I agree that holding politicians that spend more than $1.8 Trillion dollars per year on war making and the armaments industry is a place to start.

But at the same time the common culture which has evolved since the 1960's will take at least as long to change. When that (my) generation is no longer in power and them who live off the wealth of others, specifically the uber wealthy, are gone; only then can change have room to occur.

    1. I agree with it being a cultural thing, but it's not a culture I identify with, so the laws that arise to appease that base seem that much more pernicious.

      Bring on the revolution!
