ReplyDeleteThis is a painting from the new romantic period of the early 20th century, you can tell because if you look close enough you understand that he is sleeping nude and ready for his morning wake up.
ReplyDeleteOther than that meh *shrug* I like the style mainly because it rejects complexity of thought and focuses on Berman's intent. To simply tell a small story without much complication, the construction of the portrait being the goal not any underlying message.
I read twm's comment and scrolled back up to the painting to look for a hard on.
