Don't hang it too low. Scooter Pie will take one look, sigh, and shuffle off for a few more hours sleep or some therapy. I know how I'd feel if I thought I looked like that first thing in the morning. Oh hang on... I probably do.
jaded - I would love to feature a jj original one of these Wienerdog Wednesdays.
Mick - Scooter Pie's self-esteem is sufficiently elevated that it will have no such effect on her. And shouldn't you be sleeping instead of reading blogs? :-)
I slept for ten hours. I know, I'm shocked too. Woke up at 1pm. Off to work in three and a half hours, so little point in going back to bed now. Yawn. Good to hear about Scooter Pie's elevated self esteem. How much does she charge for sessions?
My Dad had a dachshund. He bought him to give to my chilren (sic) when they were little (they did not know that and still don't). He fell in love with the pup and kept it. They named him Charlie, (don't know why). Charlie eat well. Over the life of that dog my dad spent a young fortune. Back problems, legs too short, he looked like a stuffed sausage. (oh) He (the dog) was treated by the Shands teaching hospital (vet school) at the Univ of Florida. My dad would drive from Jax to Gainesville and back in one day, over nite at a motel if needed, for the dog. I wonder if he would have done that for me. Charlie was cool. He was ALMOST as cool as my cat. RIP Charlie. Oh and Dad you too.
Punch, doxies do have a way of wiggling their little stumpy-legged selves into our hearts. We are trying real hard to see that Scooter Pie doesn't get herself into any trouble that requires more than a course of Prednisone...but dachshunds are also very stubborn critters, as I'm sure Charlie let you know.
Jaded - That's a shame that the kiddos have to go back to school already. How long ago did you start counting the days? :-P
Actually this has been a great Summer. When my daughters aren't bickering with one another, it is wonderful. For the most part, this has been a non-bicker time. We've had a lot of fun and I'm going to miss them come mid-August. They are growing up too damned soon.
it was the worried little face that brought it all together for me. a thoughtful rendition.... and i'm not a dog person.... even a wiener dog, cute as they are.
Now, that is COOL! Nice wienerdog colors, too. I'd frame that and hang it low.
ReplyDeleteAre you ready for this...I actually like it. Nice one.

ReplyDeleteI can do that, but it will be after my daughters return to school in two weeks.
